Information we use
We process account email and identity identifiers; claims, verified redemptions, saved deals, rank and reward records; policy acceptances; enquiries; and merchant contact, registration, outlet, campaign, verification and approval information. Security rate limits use hashed network identifiers. Optional analytics use a short-lived browser session identifier. Do not submit passwords, payment card details, identity-card copies or unrelated personal information in forms.
Why we use it
We use information to provide accounts and claims, verify business authority, approve promotions, prevent abuse, respond to enquiries, investigate disputes and maintain evidence of decisions. Optional campaign analytics require your cookie choice. Marketing or a public community feature requires a separate choice; accepting these policies does not subscribe you to marketing.
Providers and disclosure
The service uses Sites/Cloudflare for hosting, database and photo storage, Supabase for email authentication, and Resend for transactional email. These providers may process information outside your country. We assess appropriate safeguards for overseas processing. Restaurants receive information necessary to check their own claims and aggregate campaign results, not your password or unrelated account history. Enquiries go to JBFoodies support. We may disclose information where necessary to investigate abuse or meet lawful requirements.
Maps and external services
Opening Google Maps, a booking provider or Telegram takes you to a separate provider with its own privacy practices. Embedded maps load only after you choose to load them. The food map sends your searches and selected route locations to Google when you use those features. Current location is requested only when you choose Use my location and allow browser permission. JBFoodies keeps trip locations in memory for this visit, not in your account or analytics. You can enter a place instead of sharing your device location.
Retention and protection
We restrict access by account role and use secure transport and server-side checks. No system is completely secure. We keep data only while needed for the service, support, fraud prevention, dispute evidence or legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. Claim and approval records may need to remain after account closure to resolve a dispute. A documented retention schedule is being finalised before commercial launch.
Your choices and requests
Change optional analytics through Cookie settings. For access, correction, account deletion, withdrawal of consent or a privacy complaint, email jbfoodiesbiz@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before disclosing or changing information and explain any lawful retention requirement. Withdrawal can affect features that need the information. JBFoodies’ legal operator and governing jurisdiction are awaiting confirmation; this notice will be updated before commercial launch.
